"Essential Guidelines For Joining A Gym: What You Need To Know"

After the making the decision to start working-out the next obvious decision to make is whether to enjoy workouts in your home or joining a gym. However not many people have the space to do work-out at home and also by not being in a gym you miss out on some vital aspects like: having someone to spot you when you train, instructors to correct technique and other fellow gym enthusiasts who can give you encouragement and advice.

With that in mind here are a few sensible guidelines to adhere to when choosing a gym:

1.  Clearly location is an important aspect. For goodness sake make it convenient for yourself. You'll be going there several times a week and there's nothing worse than having to drive an hour or so each time not tomention the extra cost...also think about the car parking another possible unwanted hassle.

2. Shop around before signing-up. There are often various bargains going at different times of the year. Also consider how long you are going to sign up for and don't be to hasty, try it out first to check if you like it.

8. Is the quality of equipment up to par. Can you see rust? Are they well maintained? Do they have enough variety and quantity of machines and free weights for you. There is nothing worse than queing up to do a set of bench presses!

10. Small Print: Cancellation Policy: If you sign-up for a period of time and then give up or move or whatever, will they refund the remainder of the contract?
